Blue Ocean Robotics partners up with German drone specialists Marius Schröder and Benjamin Wiens in founding the drone company Third Element Aviation GmbH. The goal is to enable customers access to development and commercialization of new drone applications that match market demands.
ODENSE, DENMARK – JUNE 5TH 2017
Blue Ocean Robotics co-found the company Third Element Aviation for the development of market-driven drone applications, together with German partners Marius Schröder (CEO) and Benjamin Wiens (COO). The company will be based in Bielefeld, Germany. The development of drone technology will be done in cooperation with Blue Ocean Robotics’ headquarters in the international robot hub, Odense, which is also the center of the International Test Center for Drones, UAS Denmark, at HCA Airport.
Third Element Aviation is constructed with a partnership model for development similar to that of Blue Ocean Robotics, RoBi-X. The partnership program will form the basis for the development of innovative drone solutions, where Third Element Aviation will deliver knowledge and development skills and funding network, and the customer will provide the physical space for proof-of-concept.
Marius and Benjamin become part of the Danish-German sister company with more than 15 years of experience in developing and evaluating drone technology for business purposes. The first drone solutions are already being developed with customers and are expected to be ready for production in beginning of summer 2017. Among the drone solutions are a platform system, a drone for delivery and a drone for land surveying.
